Room 19 Bio

My name is Paula McMullen.  After spending a long time teaching and living in Auckland I am now back!  It is hard to believe I have been teaching at Te Rapa for a year now.  I often think where did 2023 go! 

I have spent most of my career teaching Year 7 and 8 which is a year group I really enjoy.  This time of the students lives is full of change and challenges so patience and acceptance is called for.

On a personal note I have really enjoyed exploring the sights and scenes of Hamilton.  I am now back walking which is a great health initiative on my part.  I am still aiming to buy an electric bike as I intend to complete the Te Awa bike ride by the end of this year so watch this space!
