Ko Isacc Hunia tooku ingoa. I have the privilege of teaching all who call Room 20 home for 2024! I am of Tagata Niue and Samoan descent, but have been fortunate to be a whaangai into a Maaori whaanau.
I completed my Bachelors of Education at the University of Auckland in 2011, making this my 14th year in what I believe to be the most rewarding profession ever! I have a firm but fair approach to teaching - will challenge your child to step out of their comfort zones, and foster an ‘I CAN’ mindset.
I love to have a laugh, endeavour to get to know and make time for my students’, incorporate music as well as culture into our learning space and look forward to what 2024 has in store.
