Kia ora koutou,
Welcome back for what is going to be a fantastic year! I hope that everyone has enjoyed their summer break, and managed to get in some quality time with whaanau as well as friends.
It is an exciting time for the Year 7’s, as they enter the senior school and for our Year 8’s who begin their final year at Te Rapa. I look forward to building relationships with my students, encouraging them to reach their full potential and watching them grow into amazing individuals. If you are up for a challenge, relish an opportunity for responsibility, love being part of a team, and look for success in the smallest of places - then you have come to the right place.
Over the past few years, I have labelled Room 20 ‘Ngaa Waewae Kaikapua’ which means, adventurous person, risk-taker, one with fanciful ideas, dreamer. My interpretation of this whakaaro is one of endless possibilities. I look forward to providing my class whaanau with countless opportunities for success, however big or small, all the while enjoying the best seat in the house!
Mauri ora!
