Welcome to Room 18
Kia ora koutou and welcome to Term 4. As we move into the summer months, we move into an exciting final term for the year. In week 9, there is our camp at Raglan. On the Friday of that week, we celebrate with the Big Day In. Near the end of the term, for the year eight students, there is the leavers' dinner.

At regular syndicate assemblies HEART certificates are awarded.
By using Adobe Express, the students have been designing beautiful book covers of stories that we have read. Above and below are some examples. The images have been generated by AI.
The ability of AI in generating incredible images has risen rapidly and the students have learnt to write effective prompts. I want to show you what can be achieved.
After a gap of many years, and as part of a holiday, I am returning to Varanasi, in India. The two detailed typical images below, I created with AI. These people do not exist; everything has been AI generated!

The Japanese students were here for two weeks. We had a tug of war tournament against them.
On Book Day, many of the Room 18 students came dressed as a character from a book. One of the fun activities was chalk drawing.
Room 18 was a winner in the well cared for potato plant competition.
As part of our Climate Change Inquiry, we are using Adobe Express AI and features to create arch villains, each representing a specific greenhouse gas.
