Te Rapa Primary School 2020
Sir Peter Blake Award
We are very proud of the ‘Young Leaders’ we have at Te Rapa. Watching them grow and develop as they enter the senior school and take on rolls as peer mediators, road patrollers, librarians and then developing into house leaders and student councillors. We are very proud to announce that Jamie Fell is the winner of this award for 2020.
Jamie is a hard worker who strives for excellence in all that she does. Always making the right choice even when no one is watching. She is continually looking for ways to learn and improve on her ability in all aspects of schooling, including extra curricular activities. On the netball court she naturally follows direction well but also leads from the front, with her quiet confidence in her ability to be in the right place at the right time. She is a quiet, unassuming leader who people naturally follow. She shows integrity in all she does, making the right decisions/choices when put in difficult situations. Jamie builds others up around her, encouraging them to do the right thing as well as their best. In the past 18 months her sense of humour has grown and she happily shares a joke with her peers and teachers.
Jamie is respected by both staff and students. Others look up to Jamie for support and advice and guidance. She is willing to help out both her peers and teacher.
