Room 12 - Mr Mike McCurry
Once upon a time, in a land school far, far away just aroun d
the corner, there lived worked a handsome fair-to-middling
prince teacher. He would while away the days worked hard
telling jokes and having fun making creative activities for his own
entertainment class of students.
The students themselves were a rowdy bunch of mischief makers a
wonder to behold. They were noisy well-behaved, naughty
polite and above all lazy hard-working. Now it so happened that this
handsome fair-to-middling prince teacher had planned for a
stupendous party an exciting term of learning opportunities. This
party term would include vast amounts of jelly literacy, with
lollies and candy in it with a focus on fairy tales in reading and
writing. The party term would have copious quantities of ice
cream mathematics with a variety of flavours including gold rush,
hokey pokey raspberry ripple and cookies and cream a good amount of
Mathletics, reinforcing basic facts, learning number strategies and
continuing to recogn ise
time units. There would also be a smaller amount of chippies
PE/sport (Jump Jam and cross country), sausage rolls citizenship
(perseverance and kindness), soda pop Art (building landscapes),
chocolate Key Competencies, marshmallows Computing Technology
and biscuits Te Reo Maori. This would be in addition to the usual
merriment of the play-filled days whole school and syndicate activities
taking place. To entertain the children provide opportunities for
extended learning the handsome fair-to-middling prince teacher
had arranged for entertainers Gifted And
Talented
education programmes to take place, including jugglers technology,
fire-eaters and acrobats dance and singing programmes. The highlights
of the party term would be the evening dance Syndicate (fairy
tale themed) Disco where all the lords and ladies students would
dress in their finest clothes fancy dress costumes and enjoy the
music dancing
together.
And so will all these things in mind, the handsome fair-to-middling
prince teacher sent out news to created a web page for the
citizens of the town Te Rapa School community so that they all might
prepare for the occasion be aware of what was going on this term.
