I hope you enjoyed your holiday. Term 4 is a full and exciting term with a lot happening around the school.
Make sure you keep up to date by using the school app or if you chose, a paper copy of the notice will be sent home.
This term we are integrating science into our inquiry.
Our big idea is energy and the idea that it can cause change. Students will explore whether energy is useful to us by conducting a set of experiments which relate to the following areas:
Sound, heat, magnetic force, static electricity, forces and light.
Reading groups will continue this term, along with the shared book and poem. Thank you for writing the home readers in the homework book once they are completed.
Math's groups and rotations will continue in Term 3. Every Tuesday we will be learning about measurement
We have our P.E day on Thursday this term. Our focus is cross country. The students will participate in long jump, frisbee, foxtails, sprint, high jump and ball push.
Our inquiry 'Let the Force be with you' surrounds the
nature of science and physical world. Experiments will be conducted at least once a week.
We will be continuing to do a mix of drama, dance and visual art throughout the term.
We will be continuing to explore different programmes such as word, kidspix and reading eggs. We will have a focus on google docs and how to login/use the class drive.
